Voters elect 5 members to the El Dorado Union High School District Governing Board, each serving a 4-year term.   The role of the Board is to provide leadership and citizen oversight of the district's schools, including setting a direction for the district, providing a basic organizational structure by establishing policies, ensuring accountability, and providing community leadership on behalf of the district and public education.  Duties include, but may not be limited to, adopting a budget, approving expenditures, authorizing the hiring of personnel, approving courses of study and instructional material, and providing direction on issues and ideas presented.

Regular Board meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.   There is one regular Board meeting in the months of August, November, December, and May, and no regular Board meetings in July.  The community is invited to attend all open session Board meetings.  Meetings are typically held in the District Office Boardroom located at the address above.  Check the Home Page Bulletin Board for the latest update on the upcoming Board meeting.
