Stacy Stroing was born and raised in Red Bluff, CA as the fifth generation in her family to raise beef cattle in Tehama County. She was very active in 4-H and FFA where she participated in various leadership activities and raised steers and heifers that she exhibited at county fair. Stroing obtained an undergraduate degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in Animal Science while working as the student manager for Cal Poly’s Beef Unit and Annual Bull Test. After finishing Cal Poly, she attended UC Davis to obtain an agriculture teaching credential. As a student, she taught for a year at Tokay High School in Lodi. Stroing still enjoys running a small herd of her own cows in Elk Grove and working with her horse. Ms. Stroing is very excited to start the new agriculture program here at Union Mine.
