Work Permits
(All Schools) |
Work permits will be issued by
the Counseling Office at each school site. When the Counseling Office is closed during summer,
a work permit can be obtained at the El Dorado Union
High School District Office, Human Resources Department

E), at the
address above.
Students must present the completed form
Statement of Intent to Employ
Minor and Request for Work Permit
(form #B1-1) to receive their work
permit. If you have any questions,

Immunization
Requirement |
The passage of AB 354 requires
that all students in grades 7-12 will need proof of
a Tdap booster shot beginning with the 2011-12
school year. If you have any questions
regarding this law, please contact your doctor's
office or the El Dorado County Public Health

Schedules
|
New students may
pick up their schedule at Orientation on August 7.
Returning students may pick up
their schedule on Friday, August 3, between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm, in
front of the school's main office in exchange for a completed Emergency
Card.
Students who
do not pick up their schedule on August 3 can turn in their completed
Emergency Card and pick up their schedule on the first day of school
(August 9), between 7:30 and 8:25 am in front of the large gym.

Returning students may pick up

freshmen, new students, and parents is Tuesday, August 7, from

Complimentary dinner on the patio. During this time students
can pick up their information packet and class schedules on the
patio.

5:30 to 6:15 pm:
Parents will meet with
administration in the Theater.

Freshmen and new students will meet with our Activities Director,
Mrs. Slinger, in the West Gym.

6:15 to 7:00 pm:
Students and parents reunite in the East Gym then go to the Market
Place to gather information on ASB discount cards, bus passes, music
program, lunch programs, and to purchase yearbooks, purchase PE
clothes, purchase UM apparel, etc.

On Friday,
August 10, from 3:00 to 4:30 pm, freshmen and new students are invited
to a pool party (students only). Popsicles will be provided.

Schedules |
All students will receive a
preview of their courses included in the summer newsletter. Also,
all returning students can view their schedule on-line by linking to 'Parent/Student
ABI Access Web Page' from the Union Mine Home Page.
Students will receive their class schedule on the first day of school.

Changes

Returning students
may make course changes in writing by submitting their request to the
Counseling Office before August 1, or by e-mail to
Mrs. DeRosa.
This request must include the course to be dropped, the course to be
added, and the reason for the change request.
Students are
to
follow the class schedule they receive on the first day of school. No
schedule changes will be made during the first week,
with the exception of incorrect class placement or an unbalanced
academic schedule. Note: A parent's e-mail address will suffice for the required
parent signature for all course changes submitted by e-mail.
Otherwise, a parent signature is required for course changes.
