9-20-18: A vegetation fire has closed Highway 50 in both directions in El Dorado County. The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office reported that evacuations were underway along 8 Mile Road in Camino, Crystal Springs Road, Superior Drive, Crystal Springs Court and Glenwood Drive. This has affected our bus routes in the District and will prohibit our ability to return students home safely. If your student rides either bus route 10 or 11 (see routes below), please retrieve your student at EDHS. Please report to the Multipurpose Room with a form of identification so that we may release your student to you. If you have any questions, please call (530) 622-3634, extension 1025. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to ensure that students return home safely.

Welcome to the El Dorado Union High School District (EDUHSD) Transportation Department. The safest possible transportation of our students on home-to-school routes and field trips is our primary goal. The Transportation Department assists our schools with student transportation between home-to-school and all field trips throughout the state.
We provide 20 home-to-school routes from our four comprehensive high schools, both of our alternative education sites and special needs transportation as identified through the IEP process.
We recently added clean air heavy-duty diesel school buses to our fleet, removing older dirty burning school buses. We will be adding more clean air school buses in the future.
Our support facilities is staffed with journeyman level, highly trained mechanics.
Our Bus Drivers are State Certified.
The Transportation Department, although not in the classroom, is a strong supporter of the educational process. We are willing to assist in any way possible to meet student’s educational needs.
