Notice Re Oak Ridge High School
Due to construction during the summer at Oak Ridge High School (May 27 through August 8), public access will be limited to the Administration and Counseling offices. No other access will be allowed to any areas of the campus, including the athletic facilities.  The Counseling Office will be closed from June 16 through July 11 and will reopen on July 18, from 8 am to 4 pm (see registration information below).

Oak Ridge and Ponderosa High Schools
were among 35 schools in California invited to submit an application for nomination as a  Blue Ribbon school.
 
Independence High School has received a 3-year distinction from the California Department of Education as a Model Continuation High School.
 
Shenandoah High School has achieved the California Charter Schools Association Certified Charter School recognition.
 
All four comprehensive high schools -- El Dorado, Oak Ridge, Ponderosa, and Union Mine --  each achieved recognition as a California Distinguished School.
 
Oak Ridge and Ponderosa High Schools have been recognized by the California Business for Education Excellence Foundation for their outstanding success in raising student academic achievement.
